Remifemin patients showed the most pronounced reduction, difference of the mean oestrogen or placebo group is highly significant at all 3 control times (p<0.001). The average number of hot flushes per day in the Remifemin group was reduced at 86% at week 12, in the oestrogen group there was a reduction of 38%, in the placebo group of 39%

- Hamilton Anxiety Scale : similar results as the Menopause index.

Phytopharmacon influences atrohpic vaginal epithelium: Remifemin vs oestrogenic substances Somatic findings: increase of proliferation indices of vaginal epithelium, under Remifemin and conjugated oestrogens as early as 4 weeks after beginning, finally reaching a score at 12 weeks. No changes under Diazepan- Neurovegetative and physical findings : good influence on Menopausal symptoms in all 3 therapy groups, significant reduction of SDS index and modified menopausal index- Clinical global impressions : comparatively good with all 3 therapy forms.
